Lastly I tried with the front support up and the back support up, which jacked the keyboard a good inch and a half up off the table. At first it felt a little strange, and if I could, I'd want to adjust my chair a little so that my elbows are supported on the arms of my chair, level with the keyboard, where now they are level with the table and I feel a little like my elbows are flailing about in the open air. That is currently how I'm using the keyboard, flailing elbows and all.
The Luxon hard drive enclosure itself it very similar to the others of the Luxon line, in fact exactly the same... The outside is a glossy aluminum surface with graphics, the Luxon name and identifiers for the jacks on the back of the enclosure.
Something of note regarding the inside of the power supply, first off the unit has a non-replaceable fuze in it, so if you should short the supply out by accident hooking up a fan or something don't plan on being able to repair it.
USB Flash Memory storage devices are very common these days. They are easy to carry around and they offer relatively large storage capacity for their physical size. While it is great to carry around gigabytes worth of data; being those mp3 files, movies, games or documents from work, you would not want to lose the drive. May you loose the unit by forgetting it or via robbery, the lost data usually weighs a lot more than the raw price of the unit.
iMON Ultra Bay at 3dGameMan:
The iMON Ultra Bay will turn any mid-tower or full-tower case into a Home Theater PC Case. The iMON LCD products now uses the new iMON LCD developed by SoundGraph which is designed for the HTPC market. This particular LCD can display various system and media information using 96x16 pixels dot area and total of 177 icons. Using the iMON software allows the remote to be used as a mouse and keyboard replacement. It makes opening and closing applications a snap and you can even use the remote to turn on or off the computer system. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.
Watercooling 101 at Bit-tech:
Second, you can't expect to ever run below the ambient temperature of the room. At the end of the day, water is still forced-air cooling - it's just that the location has changed, and so has how much it can cool. The laws of thermodynamics prevent you from ever getting cooler than the coldest point of contact - and since that is ambient air, you cannot go lower than that. If I had a penny for every time the question has popped up in the forums as to why someone's temps can't get back down into the 20s on a 30+ degree week...well, I'd be rich.
The NZXT Lexa Blackline is nothing new in terms of design. The whole shape, internal layout and features have already been seen, tried and tested in the original Lexa enclosure. The original was constructed out of aluminium rather than steel compared to the Blackline version (hence the jump from 5.8kg to 11.5kg), also the front is now plastic rather than being shear aluminium. You’ll also find that there is no carrying cradle that was sent with the original Lexa, although most users won’t worry about this accessory.
SilverStone Temjin TJ10 at Phoronix:
With the SilverStone TJ10 being based upon the TJ09, aside from some minor alterations on the exterior, the same packaging is used for both products. The cardboard exterior highlights many of the benefits for this case such as the reinforced removable motherboard tray, large power supply mounting area, and ATX/EATX/SSI motherboard support. As you can see in the picture below, the box had arrived with moderate damage to one of the sides. This cardboard is relatively thick and this damage can be attributed to the courier, but anyhow the case itself was not damaged and was resting safely between two large cardboard with Styrofoam caps. Enclosed inside a separate box were the SilverStone TJ10 user's manual and all the needed mounting hardware.
Evoluent has come out with yet another creation that makes us feel better. It makes us realize that technological advances are not being made only with computer internals, but that special consideration is being taken for our wrists as well. I present to you the VerticalMouse 3. The idea of the VerticalMouse is to straighten out your arm so that it is not torqued. This is the same approach being used by the "Natural" style of keyboards which are aimed at being more ergonomic. Typically these style peripherals are involved in either a love or hate relationship.
Our first look at QNAP’s product was their TS101. We were fairly pleased with its features and performance and it had received Bjorn3D’s coveted Golden Bear Awards. Well, the folks at QNAP has since updated their product and adds more features to their NAS. Today, we will take a look at their latest release--the TS109 Pro.
