Thanks to Brando for the product sample.
With USB being so universal, it wasn't long before wheels started turning and people started coming up with all sorts of crazy ideas. Hubs, drives, and card readers were no longer enough. The public demanded robots, microscopes, and missile launchers. But those are for another day. Today we'll be looking at a different oddity: a USB mini fridge.

I don't know what "Dream Cheeky" means (and not sure I want to know), but the fridge comes in the cardboard box shown above. According to the advertising on the front of the package, it's the "only way to keep your drink cold while you're at your computer". We'll see.

The package includes the USB fridge and .. that's it. It connects to your computer via a four foot USB cable and has a bit of a retro look to it. The color theme may not be for everyone, but it's definitely a conversation starter. Feel free to decorate at will. Size wise, it measures about 7" tall, 3" wide, and 3.5" deep. Not much larger than a can of soda.

But how does it work? Opening it up gives us a bit of a preview. It's a single storage unit, just large enough for one typical 12oz can. The "cold plate" at the bottom is what keeps it cool. You'll also notice the air vents at the bottom with a glimpse of the heatsink. The door can be opened by pulling on the "handle" in the front. Also, much like a real refrigerator there's a pair of magnets keeping it shut.
