Hard drive buying guide at Tech ARP:

Although benchmarks will usually list both maximum and minimum internal read speeds, manufacturers often quote the hard drive's maximum internal read speed (for obvious reasons!) which is recorded at the outermost track. This is also known as the maximum sustained read speed because it indicates the maximum read speed the hard drive can sustain after its buffer memory has been exhausted. It is a good indicator of the drive's read performance for files that are much larger than the buffer size.

ASRock 4Core1333-FullHD HTPC Motherboard at Virtual-Hideout:

The board is made on ASRock's blue PCB along with ample lettering listing its features and specifications. The blue PCB is better than any typical green or budget color, but all the white bold type drowns out any of the board's color. This is one scenario where it's perfectly fine to use smaller lettering or at least put only the important things on the board. While you still may not see this board installed in your home theater case enclosure, all the lettering doesn't quite advertise or compliment the board properly. It would be more beneficial to tone it down and to let the box's features say most of it while letting the onlooker appreciate the board.

14 LED Torch at DragonSteelMods:

For some reason I've always liked flashlights, I find them very useful and they can be very interesting items. I've got quite a few of them, numerous Maglights, big and small, a Streamlight and numerous others; It seems I can never have too many flashlights floating around. GizGeek has sent me their 14 LED Torch for review, (flashlight on this side of the ocean), and this thing is just amazing, the quality of it is excellent and I've found it to be extremely useful for many, many things. One of the best things about it is the price, this flashlight is very inexpensive, I wasn't expecting much for the low price and I was truly shocked by just how nice this thing really is...

Ultra X3 1600W Modular Power Supply at 3dGameMan:

There's no question that the Ultra X3 1600W Modular Power Supply has a lot of power. Considering your typical computer build only requires 500W or less, is there any need for 1600 watts? Well, if you have the very latest hardware installed, there might be. If you have an ATI 2900XT Crossfire setup and lots of other hardware installed it can easily eat up 700-900 watts of power. That's still leaves a lot of power for other uses or for future hardware that will consume even power. The fact is, this power supply has all the power you'll ever need, comes with modular FlexForce cables and two quiet fans. This puts it into a class of its own! Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.

NZXT Hush case at XSReviews:

NZXT are a reasonably young company (founded in 2004) that target their cases directly at the gaming population. With their Lexa case design turning heads on the review market a while back, I have the Hush which is NZXT’s attempt at preventing case noise from ruining your fragging experience. Let’s see how well it performs…

Cooler Master Vortex 752 Cpu Cooler at Rbmods:

It might seem like this cpu cooler has a led fan since the fan is see through but this is not the case. We see heatpipes connected to the core also. The heatpipes transport the heat from the core to the heatsink itself where the fan blows the heat off. The core is quite a bit smaller than the fan so you can have bigger capacitators or kondensators beneath the fan.

Gateway MT3705 Intel Duo Core Budget Laptop at Madshrimps:

I found removing the HDD for future upgrade by removal two screws is easier than most. For PATA broken pin is common occurrence when removing the HDD. MT3705 reduces this risk. As usual, exercise caution in dealing with memory removal, static discharge is the main killer.

Zalman ZM-DS4F Dual Stereo Headphones at TweakTown:

Given this is a pair of Zalman headphones we’re looking at here, there’s got to be something out of the ordinary with them, and although you won’t find six speakers this time you’ll still find four. However, the ZM-DS4Fs don’t do surround sound or anything fancy like that, as this time around there are two speakers built into each headphone, one 28mm tweeter and one 40mm woofer.

Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC LCD monitor at Dan's Data:

The 3007WFP-HC, as indicated by the ever-increasing number of letters after its name, is the third major revision (in fairly quick succession) of Dell's monster monitor. All of the thirty inchers - including the ones sold by other companies, like Apple, who were first into this market - have the same 2560 by 1600 resolution and require the same dual-link DVI to run at their full resolution.

Heatsink Group Test at Bit-tech:

In order to establish how well each of these heatsinks performed, we set up a worst-case scenario using one of the hottest-running processors ever released. Intel’s Pentium Extreme Edition 955 is a dual-core chip that is based on the 65 nanometre Presler core (two Cedar Mill dies on the same chip package). It runs at a lofty 3.46GHz and, according to Intel, the chip has a TDP of 130W – that’s the same TDP as Intel’s current flagship Core 2 Extreme QX6700 quad-core processor.
