FanStorm Deluxe Fan Controller Kit PDF Print E-mail

Thanks to FanStorm for the product sample.

The FanStorm sample unit I received was packaged in an effective way inside a cardboard box. Inside it there are multiple packages containing cables, extensions and the other components. Everything is pretty safe this way and considering this unit has been shipped overseas, I’d say this package can be shipped all over the world without any problem.

The sample version was the deluxe one and the package contained:
  • 1 x Controller board (4 channels)
  • 1 x Front panel with 8 x LED's and 5 x switches
  • 1 x Power extension cable
  • 4 x Fan power extension cables
  • 4 x Temperature sensors
  • 4 x Mainboard monitoring cables
  • 4 x Adhesive temperature mounting pads
  • All screws, spacers
  • Extra cable ties
  • Mounting pad
  • Cleaning pad
  • Manual
According to the website, the deluxe edition should also have manual on CD, I guess it’s missing only because I received a non-final version of the unit. Here’s FanStorm's own list of bundled materials:

You can see there’s a lot of stuff, more than what comes with the Digidoc 5, and this means more cables around. If you consider every single cable has its own name tag near the end, to remember you what it's for, you’ll imagine how hard it'll be keeping your case clean and tidy after you install the FanStorm. The idea behind it is simple: make fans spin only when they have to, and at the needed speed. Sounds like your dream? Well, it might come true!
