Here is the EL cable used to accent and show off one of the satellites from a set of Logitech speakers. This was the most time consuming of the four mods because of the amount of time it took to weave the cable through the speaker grill.

The EL cable nicely accents the grill on the front of this Antec SX-830 case while not restricting airflow which is a major consideration. One surprising thing to note is the fact that the 1.5m of cable is not enough to completely fill the grill. Even though it doesn't entirely fill the grill it adds an outstanding accent that really shows off the front of the case and contrasts nicely with the dark blue paint.

A lighted keyboard is always a nice thing to have, and the Glowire makes it very easy to make one. The cable is thin enough that it will slip down between the keys on my Logitech Access keyboard with minimal effort, and the end result is brilliant. Not only does it make it easier to type at night, but it's a relatively cheap and easy way mod your keyboard.

Lastly I was eager to get a quick glance at how this Glowire would look when incorporated into a lighted frame for the 5” LCD I added to the side of my case. As you can see it will add an impressive surrounding to the screen.
Pros
- Nearly silent inverter
- Bright light output
- Long length will reach anywhere needed
- Can be installed on almost anything
Cons
- Connectors have a tendency to not stay attached
- Color is closer to aqua than true blue
When it comes right down to it this product lives up to its billing. It doesn't create any noticeable heat, has a quiet inverter, puts out a very bright light, and can be adjusted to almost any modding need. The only problem I had with the kit was the sometimes iffy connectors. All things considered the Sunbeam EL cable is a very fine product, and one that I can recommend with no misgivings. I'd like to thank Directron for sending over this kit and if interested you can get yours here. Thanks for reading and enjoy the site!
