With its NX8600GT-T2D256E-OC, MSI gives consumers an even more attractive package by selling a pre-overclocked GeForce 8600GT videocard straight from the factory. Stock speeds for this GPU are 540 MHz core, 1400 MHz memory. The MSI NX8600GT-T2D256E-OC runs with its GPU at 580 MHz and memory at 1600 MHz! That should give us a little bit of extra "umph" at higher resolutions.
As you can see in the pictures below, this monitor features a height-adjustable base, which is a great feature, I personally like having my monitor higher than most so I'm not looking down all day, and this base was perfect for me. Also you will see the menu buttons (7 Buttons), they are very straightforward to use and seem to have a really nice feel to them, its just a simple click for any option you might want.
Abit IP35 Pro at Bit-tech:
Abit doesn’t actually certify the board for CrossFire and even ATI’s latest official Catalyst drivers don’t support CrossFire on P35 boards, despite there being two physical x16 slots. The second slot is only electrically at x4 bandwidth, as is standard on the P35, so we wouldn’t recommend CrossFire anyway even though the layout of the board implies that it supports it. It does mean you can plug in a RAID card or extra graphics card for future physics applications, which is potentially a bonus. Three PCI slots is a better deal though, and even when CrossFire is finally ratified for the board (and P35) you’ll still be able to use two of the PCI slots even if you use a dual slot graphics card.
All the heat is exhausted directly out the rear of the case and therefore will not contribute to internal temperature saturation. Any videocard puts out a lot of heat and with that thermal source being exhausted out of the case environment, your internal case temperature should drop by a noticeable margin.
But this Freecom isn't simply a copycat device. On top of its network streaming capabilities, it also packs a 500GB 7,500 rpm Hitachi Desktar IDE hard disk. This means you can transfer your media files to it and watch them without having to have your networked machines switched on all of the time. You can use the device as a file and media server too with its built-in NAS capability, and it's all squeezed into a box not much bigger than a hardback Harry Potter, making it easy to squeeze into a spare space in your equipment rack.
Lian Li PC-A71 at XSReviews:
The top of the case which is made of the same black brushed aluminium as the side panels and front, has the same I/O door as on the PC-B20 and has connections for USB, FireWire and audio in/out. After using the PC-B20 for a while now, I know that the hinges for this flap are quite flimsy and are likely to break. This is where the aluminium isn’t strong enough. Interestingly, the whole top panel can be completely removed and it’s possible to purchase another one from Lian Li that has another two 120mm fans at the rear for all you watercooling buffs. Speaking of water lovers, there are two rubber grommets at the back allowing you to send hot and cold water pipes out of the case without resorting to the Dremel.
The hardcore PC enthusiast is always looking for a way to drop temperatures a few degrees or get a substantial overclock. Sometimes this can be minor things such as dusting off one's PC regularly and others go the hardcore, watercooling method of looking for those temperatures. One common method is of course the type of thermal paste used between the CPU and heatsink which for years now the one of choice has been primarily Arctic Silver 5. A compound which is mostly aluminum oxide but also does contain some silver from which it derives it's name. Today we have a new thermal compound to look at, IC Diamond 7 Carat from a company called Innovation Cooling.
The Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 consists of both a mouse and keyboard, the Wireless Entertainment Keyboard 7000 and Wireless Laser Mouse 8000. You will soon find this out yourself after purchasing the desktop, as you need to specify both during the setup. Both the mouse and keyboard utilize Bluetooth, which I normally find to be hit or miss, but my entire experience with the connection and setup with this set has been fantastic.
With the vast number of computer parts and peripherals on the market today, there is one main peripheral that connects the user with the heart and soul of their personal computer - the mouse. While some computer mice choose to have lasers, and some to have balls (wink), Razer decides to simply make the best gaming mice available. With a line of computer mice that fits everyone's personality and wallet, Razer brings us one of their fine products: the Krait, for an MSRP of $39.99.
One of the main features that I found very cool was the side fan, at first I thought it was just a vent with a fan behind it, but upon further inspection it is actually an opening and closing vent system. The silver button in the center opens and closes the vents while turning the fan on and off as well.
