After a fulfilling dinner and an all night gaming session at Net Heads (local cyber cafe and SF sponsor) and three hours later, we arrived at the venue once more. By opening (8am) there was already a line forming and registration under way. Soon thereafter the snack bar a few feet back opened and continued serving hot dogs, pizza, chips, drinks, and other snacks throughout the weekend.

By noon the place was packed, though surprisingly there was still enough room for everyone to set up their PCs and mingle. SF was so much more than just playing games, as meeting up with others was just as fun. Tournaments (both official and not) were played with almost every imaginable game, from CS, MOHAA, RTCW (Enemy Territory), UT2003, and BF1942 to StarCraft, WC3, AOE2, and the list goes on. Though internet access was limited, the local network ran perfectly with single digit pings for the majority of the time.

A lot more sponsors came out than anticipated. Thousands of dollars in what appeared to be well over 100 prizes were donated by big names like ABIT, ATi, ASUS, Cooler Master, DFI, Epic Games, Hitachi, Kingston, Thermaltake, and many more. It wasn't uncommon to see motherboards, video cards, memory, cases, various mod supplies, and accessories/peripherals being handed out. We had a few prizes of our own, but nothing compared to the "shock and awe" of the rest of the tables. So much was brought in than a second location was set up to house the rest of the loot. Besides yours truly, representatives from both THG and PimpRig were also present.
