Thanks to Aerocool for the product samples.
Aerocool is a name new to Mikhailtech, but for the past few months the company has been releasing several incredibly unique products. Today we'll be taking a look at their latest innovation, the one-of-a-kind Turbine fan series.

This appears to be a "prototype" product because currently there are only 3 available models to choose from - all of them being 120mm. Each fan comes in its own retail package shown above. Aside from the blower you also get 4 self-tapping screws and a 3 to 4-pin pass-through molex adapter. All of the fans have the same specifications:
- Dimensions: 120 x 120 x 25mm
- Rated airflow: 37.44CFM
- RPM: 950 (give or take 10%)
- Rated noise: 19.66dBA
- Power: 3watts
- Bearing: sleeve
These are some of the quietest, lowest output stock models you can get. Spinning at below 1000RPM they're virtually silent. The trade-off is the sub-40CFM airflow rating; most mid-range 80mm fans can top that. So if you're looking for even a mid-performance blower, this isn't it. Which is surprising, given that the series is called "Turbine".

Airflow aside, probably the most unique feature is the number of blades: two separate layers of "interwoven" 8 blades for a total of 16. This doesn't seem to impact performance much either way, but the appearance is certainly novel. The model pictured above is the 3000 and has a transparent blue frame with 8 transparent blue blades. Between them are 8 chrome blades. You may also noticed that all of these fans have LEDs mounted around the perimeter.

The 2000 model is probably the most original looking (and on a subjective level - the coolest) with a black frame and 16 chrome blades. It may not be the brightest of the three, but it's a perfect fit for a black case.

The last model is the 1000. As you can probably guess this one is all chrome. It would be interesting to see a more "realistic" edition, possibly with a chromed or aluminum frame. Nevertheless, this model is about as shiny as a fan will get.
