Since Freeze is not metallic based, there is no chance of electrical conductivity. Even though its specs state that it is not electrically conductive, it is always a little bit frightening when a little bit of Artic Silver is dropped on electrical traces.
The no curing time feature is a nice one to have when testing heat sinks as waiting 48+ hours for the thermal paste to cure is just not realistic.
Of course, being non-toxic and environmentally safe are important. The Freeze package carries the RoHS logo, which stands for “the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.”
Application
Another of this product’s features is easy application. The consistency of Freeze can be described as having much less viscosity than Arctic Silver 5. This allows for much easier application, which can contribute to a better spread of the paste on the CPU.
