Talk is talk, but let’s dig in to the actual product. ![]() Introduction Today we will be looking at a pair of coolers from Nexus Dubbed the “XiR series.” These coolers boast the same design but are made of different materials; the 2300 aluminum, and the 3500 copper. Therefore, these coolers will be spoken of as if the same cooler for most of this review. ![]() Specifications Nexus lists the following specs for the XiR-2300: XiR-2300/2300_specs.gif[/img] And for the XiR-3500: ![]() Both of these coolers can be used for AMD CPUs all the way back to the socket 939/940 and Intel LGA 775 systems. It is important to note that these coolers have a fan controller onboard so be sure to disable the motherboard’s fan controller. The pure copper bases of these coolers are polished to a mirror finish.
