GlobalWin YCC-S27 case review
Author: Wayne Ihamaki Date: November 25, 2007 Manufacturer: GlobalWin Provider: Acadia Technology Inc. Conclusion: » Page 1: Introduction: ![]() Once again, I'd like to thank GlobalWin USA for providing this slim, micro-ATX case. It's been reviewed once, now we're going to see how it's lasted being in use for over a year.![]() ![]() The all-aluminum construction sounds good on paper, but it's really as thin as can be. The front is all plastic. It features two covered bays, one for a DVD drive, another for a floppy disk. The cover for the DVD drive broke off after the case was put in service. In the pictures, I haven't taken off a protective plastic off the trays that keeps them from getting scratched during shipping. ![]() ![]() A power and reset button sit beside power and harddrive activity lights. It also has two USB ports and sockets for a headset and microphone jack. ![]() ![]() When the case first arrived, I couldn't figure out how to get the damn thing open! I pushed and pulled to no avail. Cursing with my trusted screwdriver in hand, it finally opened, but not without damaging it slightly first. Speaking with GlobalWin, they recognized the problem and said all future units would show instructions on how it comes apart. ![]() ![]()
